subdomains

Hello all

I have the following problem:
when I create new account with subdomain as domain name, then sub.domain.com doesnt resolv (e.g. krovi.lathost.lv) but www.sub.domain.com resolvs! (e.g. www.krovi.lathost.lv) Where can be the problem....

Do I need to do it manualy? No manualy I didnt.. but in logs there is entry where I can see that named was restarted. Today I trued from other PC to reach thoose domain... but ... Error.. no page can be found

no I didnt ... very strange...

so today I have added new user with domain "muna.lathost.lv" and I cant access this domain... any ideas???

Try restarting named manually and see if that fixes.

If you can't see them when you first set them up but can later it's often a DNS propagation issue.

I have noticed that it takes about 24 hours... but why? and not every time! sometimes there are no prolems.. sometimes there is problem

Because DNS is taking time to propagate.

so.. ok .. I know that DNS need time... but... I have created new subdomain... I have never seen this domain.. so then my dns server dont have cache for this domain? right? (or it is becoz it is subdomain... and cache of my main domain is in DNS ) so.. the cache has no information about subdomain.... then it need to be resolved.. but why it doesnt do it???

Perhaps with specific information (I.E., the domain name and the subdomain name) someone will be able to help you.
