When you create a user under the reseller level you can send the user a welcome e-mail with his login details.

You can copy the e-mail template to the custom dir and change it. Only you can not change the subject of the e-mail with a template. Only manually when creating the user.

The subject is defined in reseller.conf but if you copy reseller.conf to the custom dir it doesn't change anything. And changing it at the current location doesn't work because DA resets that config file.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

And I also like to know if I can change the adress where its send from. Because by default he uses admin@hostname. Is there any way to change this?

Note:
With custom dir I mean: /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/custom

With reseller.conf I mean: /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/reseller.conf

The from adres is not changeable.

The subject of the e-mail you just change in directadmin (web). And send it out to the users. The next time you open the window the same subject will be there.

Directadmin remembers what you last used as a subject.
