Hi exim has 2 queues it seems a local queue and submit queue, I have 8 mails from 15 and 16oct stuck in my submit queue for over a week now and its annoying does anyone know how to manually flush the submit queue please.

thanks.

Mail in local queue:
/var/spool/mqueue is empty
Total requests: 0

Mail in submit queue:
/var/spool/clientmqueue (8 requests)

Our DA implementations have only one queue, found at /var/spool/exim.

What version of exim are you running?

What OS?

Thanks.

Jeff

jlasman my fear might be true then, the queue is dated the date I put exim on so I think it might be an old sendmail queue thats stuck on the system.

exim 4.43
freebsd 5.2.1

You think its ok to just delete the files in /var/spool/clientmqueue manually then since its unrelated to my current mail daemon.

I wouldn't want to hazard a guess, since I don't regularly use FreeBSD, and my BSD experience is years old.

Perhaps if you reposted on the FreeBSD section (referring people back to this thread) of these forums you might get a better reply.
