Suddenly back-up errors (two servers)

Hi Guys,

I'm using STRATO's HiDrive for my back-ups. I can successfully connect to it using SFTP in FileZilla. My back-ups worked perfectly till some months ago. I thought It might be the one server, but now both servers give error messages:

User admin has been backed up. <1:00:54>
ftp_upload.php exit code: 1
ftp_upload.php output: [upload] sftp return code: 1
<1:00:55>

I can not find this error message on that specific DirectAdmin help page. Here is a screenshot of my back-up settings:

NOTE: In the above screenshot Secure FTP is on 'NO'. I tried setting it to 'YES', but same result.

I see it can connect to the HiDrive SFTP, because the file does get 'touched'. I used the back-up functionality 'now' and when I view the online portal, it says the file has been edited at the current date/time, but it's 0 Bytes. I tried a lot, but can't seem to get it to work (see screenshot):

Does anyone has any idea how to solve this problem?

1. Is your port 22 open at your firewall for outbound connection ?
2. did you tried to connect without sftp on port 21 ?

If aint work maybe you can use the sftp solution by @zEitEr which works perfectly for us.

Have you possibly changed curl versions? Error 1 is unsupported protocol.

Omg, my drive was full, didn't see it because it was in backups. Sorry guys, problem solved.
