Hi all,
I'm planning on switching servers. I have over 150 websites so its going to be a major pain! Bad planning on my part, but everyone make mistakes and we all pay for them to
Anyway, I was hoping to get some advice on the best way to do this. My plan right now is to run a system backup in direct admin. Next the server is taken offline and replaced, the old harddrive is put in the new server as a second harddrive. I then restore the data to the new drive and we're done.
Normally I would just switch drives and do a kernel recompile but I'm planning on switching to Fedora because the 2.6 kernel is just so much more attractive (even moreso on dual processor machines I hear). So I'm looking at a few hours downtime, I'm hoping to get some advice to make sure its only two hours
