Hi,

Why is the System Backup directory in root permission?
How can I change it to be in a user permission?
Just like it's done with "Admin Backup/Transfer".

Another question regarding this:
This output backup directory is not intended to be restored like it's done with the backups in "Admin Backup/Transfer", right?

Thanks.

There are system files (OS/DA etc.) - that's why they all ROOT, they can't have users permissions.

@Zhenyapan

Ok thanks.

And what about the second question? Regarding the restoration.
If I have for example a backup folder that made by the default settings of DA.
What can I do with it, is there any way to restore it with DA like it does with "Admin Backup/Transfer"?
Or I need to copy its content manually and everything will be back as previously?

System Backup requires a manual restore. Its best to used Admin Backup/Transfer. If you have made custom changes to system files then backup those files as well.

If you are using System Backup feature, you need to manually change the permission to user that you want to be able to view or download. Related to my old post here: https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/system-backup-post-script-all_backup_post-sh.60466/
