System Backup

Which one?

At the server level? Nothing is running as a daemon. Just don't create any backup cronjobs, and backup won't run. There's nothing really to disable as the backup system is merely cronjobs running standard system commands.

At the admin level? I suppose you could create your own custom skin without access to the DirectAdmin backup control screen, but it seems like a bit of overkill to me. Can't you just trust yourself to not run backups if you don't want them?

At the reseller level? Again, create a custom skin which doesn't offer access to the backup control screen.

At the user level? The user level backup may not be dependent on a cronjob, it may run immediately. I'm not sure. But the method to disable it is the same. Create a custom skin which doesn't offer access to the backup control screen.

If you offer hosting to the public you may want to consider this carefully; even if you run your own backup in realtime, if you dont allow your customers the ability to backup and in fact disclaim your responsibility for backups in your TOS, then if you have a catastrophic failure your customers might be able to hold you responsible.
