this really important for us

and another a issue direct admin why send mail to us for who create account or delete account?

thanks and best regards

2 years? That's long.
In order to safe them for longer you have to change the logrotate settings for your server. This an be done in the /etc/logrotate.conf file.

Why not? As admin you should be aware if accounts are create or deleted.
I'm not sure if those can be disabled. Maybe somebody else knows.

Don't do with log rotate , better in kind of backup script on other location also.

So there you save then log files per whatever time you want , i think personally set log rotate so long is mmm

And take care of that backup / log files that need AUDIT for who accessed ...

hi again

our country make rules about cyber crime, if you are host company you have to save logs and this has to be min 1 year max 2 years. if you don't do this you should pay punitive fine and this is so much money to 100.000usd.

i have to know which user create or delete account with reseller account for crime. I know its complicated but its necessary .

I need to system.log files 2 years safe to log

how can I do this?

pls its really important

Our country has those rules too, but they only apply for internet providers, so ISP's, not for hosting company's luckily.

It's not that complicated to safe logs longer.

As stated, you can do this by changing the logrotate.conf file. However, as ikkebent says, it would be a good idea to create backup of those in another location too.

Then if needed for CYbercrime ( safe side while if hacked they could delete you logs or manipulate) it is also more important to save on other location (and have offline backups)
Search in docs and help search read here:

logs_to_keep

logs_to_keep=5

Number of rotated logs to keep in a user's home locatio
You yourself have to look up while very lot of log files and logging is possible.

Example one log file and then you have to check yes no rotate, how BIG and how many to keep and so on:
rotate_httpd_error_log_meg

rotate_httpd_error_log_meg=0

A size in megabytes when apache error_log for any domains will be rotated. Prevents webserver error logs from getting too large in a run-away case, variables that let the dataskq check the size of these logs, and rotate/truncate them if needed.
