Wanting to use DA to perform this task.
I need to replace the hard drive and upgrade it , I see in DA Admin a couple of features, and I would prefer to use the panel opposed to a shell session.
1st- Admin Backup/Transfer RC1
2nd- System Backup
Now if I add a Hard Drive to the same server, would either of these two options work to transfer all the contents from one drive to the other, then swap drives and have a happy, working server?
if so, which, and any guide to the correct procedure?.
It would seem that System Backup would be a possible, but are these compressed, or a mirror?
Any help would be Greatly Appreciated
Thanks Andy

Neither will do what you want.

If you're going to use the same version of your OS distribution and the same version of DA, then you can use the System Backup. However System Backup doesn't have a restore; you'll have to restore manually.

If you're using a different version of either DirectAdmin or your OS Distribution, then you can use the Admin Backup/Transfer.

However neither will restore your OS, or DirectAdmin, or any other programs you've installed, or any other configuration you've made since the raw DA installation was made.

If you're looking for what's called a bare-metal restore, then you need to have an experienced administrator (preferably one local to the machine) create and implement a scenario specific to your OS/Distribution/Configuration.
