Is it necessary, to leave spam mails in the folder teach-isspam, to preserve the learning effect for rspamd, or can the mails be deleted after some time (folder get scanned each hour so far as i know), and the learning effect will remain?

Hello Johannes,

One and the same email can be learned either as SPAM or HAM multiple times. If you marked an email as SPAM and let rSpamd to inspect it, rSpamd will remember the email as SPAM (using different types of hashes and etc). Later if you change your mind you can feed the same email to rSpamd as HAM. And rSpamd will inspect it and remember as HAM, no longer considering it to be SPAM.

Leaving emails in "is-spam" folder you give no chance for anybody to mark the same email as HAM. If anybody try to feed the email to rSpamd as HAM, it will learn it again as SPAM from the "is-spam" folder. That might be confusing as well as provide another level of a protection. Depending on how you treat this feature)

to leave spam mails in the folder teach-isspam, to preserve the learning effect for rspamd
