Unfortunately I was also happy with this, but had the same issue as you and I also had to deactivate this one.

Just to be sure, does your incoming port 25 now also work? Because otherwise you still might have issues receiving mail.

Thanks for your interest and for reminding me of this, I did a test, from my personal home pc the telnet connection is not accepted and ends up in timeout, while trying from another server it responds correctly with 250 OK, so I assume that on a general level everything is working correctly.

Just so I understand too. Was DeBounce getting a message that the email was undeliverable because they are on the RBL?

Yes, you got it right, they were in a rbl. So my servers using that rbl, when queried didn't respond, and so my addresses were considered non-existent.
