hi

I created the following records on server #1 (url thumb .com)

s3 76.73.120.154

www.s3 76.73.120.154

On the server # 76.73.120.154, I created a new domain:

s3.url thumb .com

Whenever the domain name is accessed you get the Shared IP message:

"This IP is being shared among many domains.
To view the domain you are looking for, simply enter the domain name in the location bar of your web browser."

If you ping the domain is links to the correct IP 76.73.120.154. I did install memcached lately, but don't see how that might have affected it.

I also rebuilt apache but that didn't seem to help

Additionally, I followed these instructions:

http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=242

and it seems like the entries are correct and exists for the domain name.

This has been done 2 days ago so I can't see it as a propagation issue. Anyone has any suggestions?

So what does it have to do with directadmin then? If the other server has no virtualhost for the domain... why do you expect it would work other way? So you might need to create a proper virtualhost on your different server.

The shared among message does indicate that its a DirectAdmin server who is catching the request. Since you say the IP address resolves correctly; I assume the external server also uses DA? In that case have you added that subdomain (as a normal domain) to that external server?

Hey Arieh

you are correct, the external IP server also had directadmin. The sub domain was added as a domain on that server. I even assigned it its own dedicated IP, but same issue resides.

Thanks,

Do you have there any 3rt party plugins for Directadmin? Nginx? Other modules, which does not come along side with directadmin?

Hello,

FYI, this is the related guide:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=242

It's likely a dns propagation issue, or the IP that the domain currently resolves to on your computer (which may differ from the actual zone due to dns progation) doesn't match the virtualhost.

If you're on a window box, trying going to:
Start -> Run -> cmd

and issue a ping to your domain, to see the IP that it's currently resolving to.
