Software life, not human life. DA is still working as is Windows '95 and php 1.0 which are all End of Life. Don't compare digital lifetime to human lifetime.
Compare vBulletin 1.x, 2.x and 3.x lifetime licenses and other software which at a certain point is declared en of life.
You have to read post #17 again. Software lifetime which gets regular updates is almost never human lifetime.
And if you want human lifetime, what are you complaining about? Just as Windows 95 the DA license is still working, you just won't get new updates anymore at a certain point, like with everything.
Nope. In software business it can also be an EOL declaration. You don't want that, because they will give it to you. And then all updates stop too. Now we still get updates on the old licenses, just no new features and development.
They won't change the product name but in the future if you want recent OS and MariaDB, you will have to convert your license or buy a new one.
