Hi all,

I have a dedicated server running Direct Admin, and all are fine except I can't use ANY Mailing list script because of timeouts (I guess).

I have a mailing list of 32,000+ subscriber.

When I tried SubscribeMe (CGI) it tells it's sending now, but after about 4,000 email it stops, the same thing with MyMail (php), even when I enabled splitting 100 email per 5 minutes! after around 10 minutes it gives "This page can't be desplayed".

What can be the problem? my server load is very low on average (0.01~0.6), and when sending mails using Subscribe me the load goes no more than 4.0 (P4 3.0Ghz, 1 Gb Ram).

When script stops, the load is back to average, no memory leaks or so.

Can you help me? I'm tired trying scripts and it seems something is wrong with server settings and timeouts! php.ini?? mail settings?? what should I change?

Thnk you so much!

Subscribe Me and Subscribe Me Pro are well written packages and as long as you have recent versions, they don't have or cause problems.

We have one client who uses Subscribe Me Pro fairly heavily, and we found we did have to set it's injection rate.

But certainly not as low as you've already tried.

Subscribe Me Pro is working successfully for us on a DA system, so I'd say you may need help from the folk who wrote Subscribe Me.

Unfortunately that requires Subscribe Me Pro, which is not free.

(On the plus side, their help is extremely good.)

Hi jlasman,

Thanks for your reply, the problem is now fixed after I tried Dada Mail (http://mojo.skazat.com/), it has an option to send emails in batchs and thourgh SMTP, after using that, I finally could send an e-mail to the whole list :)

Again, thanks for your time providing help, problem fixed!

Rgards,
Tantawi

Subscribe Me Pro has the same option; perhaps Subscribe Me doesn't.
