Trouble uploading images

Hello: I am new to this kind of thing, but I really need some help. I am using the e107 website in mysql. Nearly all of my uploaded images (jpeg) I use for thumbs only upload about 80%. I thought it was a bug in the e107, but if I download directly through the dir. admin panel, and I check the images via the file manager, I get the same thing. I have used FileZilla and the popular ftp program Winzip, and there is no way. I have tried resizing every way I can think of. Large images (448x640) seem to do well, but anything around 10 kb or less (which I need for thumbnails) will not download complete. Hope I gave enough info. Any ideas? Do I need to clear some tables or go back to html?

Thanks and have a good day.

Do you mean that if you check the size of the jpg files after you've uploaded them they are only 80% of the size they should have (number of bytes), or do you mean that if you view the jpg files on-line after you uploaded them they show only 80% of the size they should have (resized or only partially display)?

Do you get any error messages when you upload the files?

Do you also have problems with other files besides jpg files?

The image is incomplete at the bottom of the image. 20% approx. never got downloaded. I have not tried other files (gif. or png.)

I have to run. But I will later put the images on the web again and leave you with a url so you can see it. I have run out of ideas and spent several days on this. No error messages.

Glad to hear from you.

Mike

This is really strange. I also see the thumbnails display only about 80%. So at first I thought they may be corrupted during upload. But if I right-click on the image, save the thumbnail to my local pc and open it with Photoshop the full thumbnail is there! So this must mean that the thumbnail on your server is also ok. Then I thought maybe it's the dimensions specified for the image so I looked at the sourcecode but there are no dimensions defined for the thumbnails. Then I thought it may be a problem with padding or margins or some other css styles, but when I copy&paste the link to the thumbnail directly in the address bar of my browser: http://pinehillacres.com/e107_plugins/myStore/images/products/small/a 003.jpg
it still only displays 80% so no css or other style makeup can be causing this...
I'm afraid I can't help you much further with this. Maybe you can also ask this in the e107 forum and maybe the ZoGo forum.

Thanks much.

Now someone other than me sees it. And you verified that the thumb is okay on the server. I believed that it was not okay on the server, until now. That is why I posted it here first, since if I uploaded it per the DA file upload feature in file manager. There might be a refresh issue there.

I am on to e107!

Take care.
