we are having some difficulties with or admin account well more with creating a subdomain on the website that is binded to the admin.

we can't make any. in DA he makes them giving no error. except for the error log he is giving some an local host error.
[Fri Nov 02 14:06:05 2007] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost' does NOT match server name!?

when we try to make an subdomain on any other account that is hosted on that server it just works perfectly.

any suggestions?
we also looked at the DNS but it looks the same as on the accounts we can create a subdomain

thnx in advanced

Specifically what is failing?

Can you give a step-by-step example with a real domain name you've tried?

Jeff

the real domain is our website called. www.newdream.nl
we trieed to add members.newdream.nl
we have a user account with the domain www.martijnheus.nl

we also have a domain called www.martijnheus.nl
we made a subdomain called test.martijnheus.nl

we can ping bouth domains but only test.martijnheus.nl

we don't get any error message.

how did i try to make the subdomain well just add it as.
1. log in as admin (where the domain is part of)
2. go to user lvl
3. go to subdomain management
4. create subdomain called members (also have mobiel and ewart setup but those don't work either.

for this reply i created ewart i get no error message (visial at create clicked)
but i looked into the error file and than it says
[Mon Nov 05 21:53:04 2007] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost' does NOT match server name!?
[Mon Nov 05 21:53:05 2007] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost' does NOT match server name!?

our server ip is 85 17 169 138

hope these are the steps you mean.

The error is unimportant; it's a warning that you didn't create a certificate for your server name; it can be ignored.

The only reason I can see for you not being able to create a subdomain would be if your user setup doesn't allow enough subdomains, but that should show an error when you try to create it.

Then you may want to have DirectAdmin support look into it for you.
