Unable to get api result. Check your configuration options.

I am trying to set up Multi Server DNS. When I add an IP, along with user (admin) and password, and then I test the connection, I am confronted with this error.
I have tried several supposed solutions posted online, and nothing has helped. Could somebody please give me insight to what has changed and why I cannot set up Multi server IPs ?

First of all try and disable firewall on the both servers and see whether or not it helps. If this is the case, then you might need to add a directadmin port to allowed for outgoing connections. By default it is 2222 TCP.

If firewall is not the case, then you might need to check directadmin logs under /var/log/directadmin/ for possible clues.
