I just updated my RH9 using the fedora legacy project's yum.

After a few minutes, everything was updated, Apache included .. to 2.0.40

However, after a few tries, it seems pretty clear that DA won't work with apache 2.0.4 without me doing something first... any ideas?

You have to tell directadmin to use the apache 2.0 api instead of 1.3. So directadmin creates apache 2.0 config files.

Here's the link with all information on upgrading from 1.3 to 2.0 including the conversion of the httpd config files

Thanks stffabi!

I followed every step. Now, apache is running, but the domain is not accepting connections .. do I need to reboot or something?

I rushed to answer .. rebooted and everything is working.

However, my yum feature will update my box automatically from now on .. is that going to interfere with DA??

What about if 2.0 is already on the box but DA is using the 1.3 that DA installed?

A mistake was made by installing 2.0 upon the RH 9 install but we went ahead and installed DA which has worked perfectly since then. Is it just ignoring the 2.0 installation?

What will hapen if I follow these upgrade instructions?
