Hi all ...
I'm trying to update exim.conf.
Currently running v.2.1.1

I'm using custombuild so i tryed updating with:
./build exim_conf
as smtalk pointed out here.

You need to edit options.conf file and set eximconf value to "yes"
Done!

However, it seems after the update is done i'm still running v.2.1.1
when i have a look here:
http://files.directadmin.com/services/exim.conf
I see DA is offering the v.2.1.1 release.

I see in these forums spamblocker is currently v.3.2.6-RC

What do i have to do to get spamblocker updated to the latest stable release?

P.S.: exim is running v.4.69

Thanks in advance and have great day!

I write the SpamBlocker exim.conf file. DirectAdmin chose to make my version 2.1.1 their standard, quite some time ago.

Hopefullly when SpamBlocker is out of RC status DirecdtAdmin will make it standard. At that time it would be available through CustomBuild.

In the meantime if you want to use it, you can get information on these forums (it's got it's own complete subforum) and the file itself here (nobaloney.net).

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your response!

I did browse the subforums, but to me it looks rather cluttered, the info about Spamblocker i mean. But that is all about me, not you or other forum members :)

1 more question i have:
Since I'm running exim v.4.69 i believe I'm up-to-date with this in order to use your Spamblocker config.

- Would it be enough for me to just overwrite the current exim.conf with your release and make the adjustments as required?

Thanks in advance for your time,
Have a great day!
Pat.

Yes ... but ...

Be sure to read all my README files and the comments in my exim.conf file including all the EDIT points, and make all necessary changes, or you'll break exim.

We can always do the install/changeover for you; send me an email if you're interested in finding out about our commercial services.

thanks for your anwser Jeff!
I'll do this update myself.

However, do you do general server maintenance and 'fine tuning'?
If so , I'll drop you a mail :)

Thanks, and have a nice 'family' sunday :)
