Upgraded to DOVECOT.. Couple thoughts..

Ok, we upgraded a server to 1.26 w/ DOVECOT. All went well, don't forget to reboot xinetd and to readd the monitored services. A couple of things I noticed was (thoughts):

1) What happens if a client is over quota or goes over quota while the email is being converted from mbox to maildir?

2) All messages that are downloaded via Outlook get a new received data of todays date. Squirrelmail looks fine.

Does anyone have any ideas about #2?

Number 2 is likely an artifact of the mbox to maildir conversion... dovecot should be able to use the message flags generated by uw-imap, but the pop3 flags may be problematic. You might try to change the pop3_uidl_format in dovecot.conf as per this:

Actually for number 2, it is also IMAP that is being used. I'll check into the link though in case the POP stuff has the same issue.
