Hi to all ,

Is there something i should know particular to DA befor compiling and installing new exim .

Im not much of an expert in exim and was wondering if there any tricks or paths changed i should know about .

Thanks for any help .

Hello,

Use the following Makefile (the one that you're supposed to copy and edit). This is for Redhat.

The only thing you need to make sure is that you have perl.o included. This makefile will specify to include it.

Hello,

It *should* work with different versions (Don't hold me to that ;)).. I have used it so far for the exim 4 versions. I don't remember doing anything with the eximscan program, so can't help out there.

I believe you just copy the Makefile (rename it) to the Local directory in the exim source, and then just type make, then make install once (if) the compile works. Read the README file for more information.
