Use 2nd IP to send mail

My provider has given me a 2nd IP specifically for mail handling as the main server IP is on barracuda IP list. I have added the second IP to the VPs and added it into DA set to shared and updated my DNS (mail) SPF records etc but when I run a test via mxtools the IP is still the server IP?

I found https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1692 and have tried to follow it but am stuck, any pointers or help would be appreciated.

When I run echo "action=rewrite&value=domainips" >> /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue the domains IP sile is populated with the main server IP and if I run echo "action=rewrite&value=helo_data&ip=1.2.3.4" >> /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue nothing is written to the helo_data file
