User accounts are being unsuspended

Hello

Ok, it seems that every time I suspend a users account, they are being unsuspended within a couple of minutes automatically. I originally though this could be my billing system, so I disabled the automation to test. I then though it could be due to the automatic suspend on over usage feature, unsuspending them because their disk levels are all fine etc - but neither is it this.

Has anybody else got this problem? How can I go about fixing it? It's getting quite annoying now

PS: I'm new here :P (on the forums)

Thanks guys!

There appears to be a newer version, but it doesn't say anything about fixing this problem.

Hello,

There was an issue prior to 1.30.0 where a User could unsuspend himself through the lost password feature (if you have it enabled), but if you've got 1.30.0, it should't be related.

Can you check your /var/log/directadmin/system.log as well as the error.log and errortaskq.log in the same directory. It should say who is unsuspending the account, if it's a cronjob or whatever the case.

Hello

Thank you for the replies. I did actually read about the lost password bug, although assumed it couldn't of been as this has been happening on multiple accounts and will happen any time of the day - so quite unlikely even if I was on one of the affected versions.

The last lines of system.log are:

Code:
2007:06:26-02:12:01: httpd reloaded
2007:06:26-02:16:01: httpd reloaded

The account was unsuspended before the second reload, and stayed unsuspended through the first reload, so I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Last lines of error.log:

Code:
2007:06:25-16:20:20: File ./data/users/hiddenma/user.usage has been written to after this process read it. Not going to overwrite it.
2007:06:25-17:00:12: File ./data/users/hiddenma/user.usage has been written to after this process read it. Not going to overwrite it.
2007:06:26-02:10:21: Error reading from 85.210.*.*:

Doesn't see to have any significance, plus the unsuspension was 5 minutes after the last line there.

Last lines of errortaskq.log:

Code:
2007:06:01-04:20:01: Reset All has started
2007:06:01-04:20:02: Reset All has finished

These entries are old, nothing new!

So, none of them seem to say anything to me? Any ideas?

Thanks a lot, replies much appreciated

Hello again - anybody have ideas on this or has seen it before? Really starting to become annoying, two users should be suspended but I can't suspend them and don't want to terminate just yet.

Thank you very much ;)

Maybe just send us an email with your system info and I can take a look. Include the names of the Users you want suspended and I'll see what's up.

just out of curiosity, what was the findings/solutions ?
not a good thing to happen

Sadly, there hasn't been a solution yet. Direct Admin support above asked me to e-mail system details but I have not as of yet - I'm still researching and asking others first before giving access to my systems! (not that I don't trust DirectAdmin!). The solution isn't so urgent right now anymore so it's ok for now :) Will update if a solution is found!

I haven't had this happen to any of the servers yet! running centOS 4.3 and DA 1.30.1...
Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz
2057908 kB memory
PHP Version 4.4.4
Apache 1.3.37
MySQL 4.1.11

now this sounds like a stupid question , but do you have any reseller accounts that could of "un suspended" any of those accounts?

heh, good thinking but nope :( I have one reseller account on the system that happens to be a friend. The accounts it was happening to (though I should test if it happens to any account) were not under any reseller, apart from admin of course.

Perhaps it will turn out to be something silly such as that and I'm too dumb to notice? I'm going to do another full check over it properly tonight I think before the time comes to need accounts suspended again!

Thank you

Mike
