I have a new user that only uses 3 email accounts. There is just one webpage at his domain. It's a 'parked' page. Just html with a jpeg picture that mention they will be online in the future. So no scripts or whatsoever.

But they use a lot of bandwidth. When I look at the stats (Bandwidth: Details) I see this (see attachment).

What's causing this? I do not understand. And what does it mean. The Send Mails? Can anybody explain this to me?

Emails and bandwidth get counted when a user sends email.

Emails and bandwidth get counted when a user sends email.

I understand that but why are their send 400 or so emails on 2 days and most other days are 0. So something is going on, that's not suppost to happen.

They alle have as SMTP not mail.theirdomain.ext but the SMTP of their access provider.

So if someone can explain it to me I would appreciate it very much.

Maybe you should ask them.

Also scripts than send email via a form from their web site will get counted. Maybe there is an abuse issue.

There is nothing on thier website. Just a plain html file with 1 jpg. No scripts, no form, not anything.

The exim log will tell you what mail is being sent out in their name.

They are most likely send/receive emails with attachments. But I have explaiend them to use SMTP of accesprovider. So it should not be possible they send mail via server. Why are then on certain dates so much emails send.

Again: There are no scripts or any other things installed on their webpage. So the problem does not lay their. I see this activity sometimes by other clients also. Maybe a bug in DA?
