username with capital letter .. messes up pop access?

I have a user who just signed up with a capital 'S'.

he also wants to use that as his email address, instead of using something else, or i offered to change his username.

so on the system user email account, he can not retrieve email. also, when you send an email to that account, it bounces.

is there any way around this? does it make sense that i'm having this issue?

It makes sense. RFCs require that usernames in email be all lowercase. However case doesn't matter in receiving email.

[email protected] will get email sent to [email protected].
