yes but how come CPU gets spike...look at mem % it uses only 1.8%

in some case... server gets slow... thats the reason i am worried...as i see - you have 32 threads and mysql uses only 80% of single thread - is it really problem?
did you monitor it somehow? what "WA" in TOP when it slows? maybe network issues? what type of disks?
