Hello, running Debian 10. My var directory size

/dev/mapper/matrix--vg-var 9.2G 7.8G 875M 91% /var

as you can see its 91%, i found this KB
And here is size of directories in var

268K systemd
604K usbutils
3.2M ispell
17M csf
20M dpkg
36M rspamd
114M apt
7.2G mysql

I found this KB : https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=12
Can this be used for Debian 10 for moving mysql from var to home
There is also mention fo
ProtectHome=true
Not sure how to change this, on googling found this article on Mariadb. Will this work or there is another way for doing

Thanks for your time.
