Hi Guys,
we are running direct admin v1.28.1

It seems as if we cannot get any decent logs from server about any of our clients, via webalizer.

If i download the raw files and use another program to view them the date range is only like 24 hours.

I am looking for a way to supply our clients with some worthwhile data and webalizer is frankly a little too average.

The usage by country does not even provide the most basic information that a client would like to know about their own site.

How do we provide a professional service to our clients in the stats department?

I would love to be able to download raw logs and generate a a decent stats report for my clients. showing yearly monthly and daily detail.

Can any of you help with suggestions on how we can provide this level of service?

all help would be well appreciated, i have been through every thread here trying to find an answer but with no luck.

cheers
Turbo

hi ,

The usage by country does not even provide the most basic information that a client would like to know about their own site.

you need to put HostnameLookups to ON in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

and service httpd restart

after 24hr your webalizer going to provide informations by contry !!

longer logs

I too am trying to figure out how to provide complete monthly log files. I've been running DA for a few months and assumed this was happening. I have a customer who has hired an SEO guy...who wants to see the past few months worth of logs...and I think I'm screwed.

Does DA keep all logs for months?
If so were?

Not sure how long they keep them but httpd logs per domain are available in /var/log/httpd/domains

I personally hate webalizer and just make everyone sign up to google analytics (urchin). I know some people won't like this, but it provides a hella better overview than webalizer.

I have used Nihuo in the past with GREAT success. Of course it is an offline utility that processes the log files, and does it will really good results.

I am in the same boat you are with DA. By default DA only stores 5 days worth of log files from what i have seen, at this point I am almost ready to BEG DA to help me resolve this, as it is honestly getting to be a REAL issue for me.

Take a look at Nihuo, it works great and the price is right as well. You can tweak the reports as well once you install the application and make it look like your own.
