Hi All,

I did not now exactly where to put this post, in this subject or in the admin level difficulties subject, so if its in the wrong place please forgive me.

Since yesterday ive got a new box with centOs installed on it... There are no domain added to the machines yet and the logs get flooded allready.

For a few problems i found solutions allready using Google and this forum but this one is killing me.

The System mailog is full of messages like this:

Sep 3 09:06:47 shd0086 dovecot[22600]: pop3-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts): rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured
Sep 3 09:07:45 shd0086 dovecot[22600]: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts): rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured
Sep 3 09:07:46 shd0086 dovecot[22600]: pop3-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts): rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured
Sep 3 09:08:44 shd0086 dovecot[22600]: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts): rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, secured

Those messages just continue, continue and continue....

I dont understand why this message is popping up and how i can avoid it... can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Thanks for the answer Jeff.

I did a reboot of the machine last night and that got the error away... pretty weird...
