Weird password issue

On one of my domains I seem to be having a problems with email

I have setup an email account under DirectAdmin, I can access it fine with Squirrelmail and I can send out emails using it's SMTP Server

However, when I try to download new messages for this mail account via an application (In this case, Thunderbird) it constantly says password sending did not succeed.

But I am using the exact info DirectAdmin provided me for server settings, and I definitely have the username/pass right

I have another domain on this server, which also acts as the name servers and email is going fine through it.

My only guess is that I have just recently switched DNS and it might not be totally done yet, but this seems silly.

Any ideas? Thanks

I would post the /var/log/maillog entries for your attempts. If you are not the owner of the server, then this is something they need to address.

Weird, /var/log/maillog for me is empty, and well .. non existant actually

I am running Debian with Direct Admin (obviously) .. I haven't done any changes to my mail stuff apart from adding accounts. Where should I be looking for info?

Well, I dont seem to be getting the message anymore and I found my mail log, but it doesn't seem to be showing any bad information

Strange.. I guess I'll wait and see if it comes up again
