Hey guys!

Im starting up a small hosting business and need some help... the last provider i was with for reselling hosting (also using directadmin), the welcome email sent to new users was my personal email. However, i have now registered with a different hosting provider, and the welcome email is delivered using one of the server generated emails. The problem with this is that not only does it send this email to most spam folders, however in some cases (like this one), mail providers block it from sending completely. I have attached a screenshot for reference.

so, i believe this can all be avoided by changing the email that sends the welcome email to an email that i generate from my domain. Question is, how do i change this? If someone could let me know that would be great.

Also, it appears that when the email is sent to the user, the pre generated password is not included into the email? i have also attached another screenshot showing this.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Best,
Joe

Hello Joe.

Sorry, too little info to be of any good help.
Google refuses the mail. So I would start looking if your domain has a correct SPF record.

Next to that an PTR record for the server should exist. However, if you only have a reseller account that is something for your hosting provider.

If you want better help then you need to provide the domain name from which you are sending the mail on the server.

As to why the password can't be retrieved, that is an odd one, I don't know.

If your server doesn't have at least an rDNS configured your welcome message won't even leave your server or get bounced
