What could be the cause of the backup problem in DirectAdmin (version 1.668) on a CentOS 7 server?

I cannot backup a specific user, neither as that user nor as admin. This problem only occurs with this account. The error message is:

Summary: Backup has stalled
Details: No progress in 6 hours

There is enough space on the hard drive. What could be the solution?

i am using this directadmin server from the last few years and backups are working fine. but from the last month onwards, the backup is not working and its showing the error or warning like backup stalled. I disabled csf and checked. still its have issues.

I keep seeing this in the backup system Overview Backup User xxx Details Copying unreadable data

Well I guess best is to check the user account and all files in there and see what can be the issue.
Also check the Directadmin logs, they might point to some directory or files which is causing the issue.
