Thank you for answering my question. This is indeed not bad programming, I thought there was an owner issue before.That's not "Bad Programming" as there's nothing in the programming which can be done to influence that.
As for the rest, I won't re-read as there is nothing to re-read. If you want it more secure it's your choice.
I agree ruid2 has more usages outside of PHP. But that doesn't change the fact that is was intended to create a more secure situation with mod_php (even when php-fpm wasn't available). So that it also can be used with php-fpm and other things is beneficial.
However, DA stopping support of mod_ruid2, does not have to stop you from using it. We already used mod_ruid2 several years before it came available in Directadmin by just compiling and integrating it ourselves.
I presume you are aware of how this is done. And since mod_ruid2 hasn't been updated for many years, it should be a one time installation.
