What traffic is messured by DA

[My-webhosting]

A problem that i have is that my collocation provider is counting more bandwidth on the switch than DA does. the difference is more than 50Gb a month.

so my question is what is DA measuring for a user!

http?
ftp?
mail (incoming and outgoing?)
more | ?

what are the solutions to check which customer is trying to create/spend more bandwidth than is encountered for?
