I just re-installed DA on a VPS using CentOS 32bit - this was the license and forgot to change when i re-installed on VPS, anyway this probably sounds nube like, but given all things equal... cpu, mem, CentOS, etc. which is beter 32 or 64 bit and why ? Including the basic obvious. :D

All things equal (?), if there is a reason that a non-equal setup would be better for one or the other then lets here that too.... kinda crazy based on the questions but keep it simple ! :)

Thanks, I actually remembered that AFTER you stated the simple answer ( basic obvious ), guess as we get older, sometimes the simple is better !!! What was that I ask about now ?

If you want to get into details, you should tell what virtualization are you using: OpenVZ, KVM, XEN? Honestly, I do not see any reason to use 64 bit OS on a VPS, unless you want to give to MySQL more than 2GB RAM. If not because of MySQL, you should better use 32 bit, that what I think. I'd be pleased to get other's opinions.

Thanks zEitEr, the reminder was enough but the more info the better :), this instance was on OpenVZ, but have now got setup to sell OpenVZ, KVM/Zen and Cloud VPS... my mind has been so boggled that I lost site of the basics, been experimenting with how much ram is minimum for DA install and what if any special needs there may be for using DA on VPS etc.. so you can see why this older memory seems to dim now and then instead of glowing like you younger fellows .... :)
