Why backups more frequent than once a day are not allowed?

These are things that Directadmin has that we will never understand.

What is the point of this limitation in the panel, for example in several clients they want backup of only the database every hour, so many are configured manually and they work perfectly, but Directadmin found it funny to put limitations on a function, cronjobs, which is not theirs and not those limitations.

I'm sure Directadmin has a good explanation.

This limitation (of one backup per day) is useful for servers with very large amount of accounts. Without such extra checks users could easily make resource DOS on the server. Of course for small servers with only a handful of accounts and especially when users know what they are doing this limitation might look strange.

Feel free to fill a feature request asking to lift this restriction (at least for admin accounts).

Which meant, not only is the limitation stupid, but not the reason, but also that they censor my original post...

"Your post in the thread was edited. Reason: Please abstain from insults and false statements or accusations"

Where have I insulted and who? And where have I said something false if you are admitting that it works like this for security for hosting with many users?

What I do not understand is why this limitation exists for the admin panel, when the backup systems are different at each level (something that we have been asking for for a long time to be the same) or at least there is no option in the configuration to be activated the full cronjob at the customer's discretion.

However, although censored, thanks for responding.

@Yoshua it's old limitation that was solved by creating a few cron-jobs as described, you don't need to fill all fields because there is function of dublication, so you can just adjust time.
