Why is it always like that. You cant figure out how to make things work and after you have told it to someone else you figure it out how to fix it >.<
 
Because explaining the problem to someone else helps you see it more clearly. Years ago I taught college-level systems analysis. What you ended up doing was analyzing the problem, which helped you find the solution.
