Creating a FTP account, help!!!

How do I got about doing this? I have tried reading the documentation but it has yielded zero help :/

Here is some system information :

Compiled on CentOS 5.0 64-bit
Compile Date Sep 15 2011, 16:51:04
Server Version 1.39.3

I am on the admin-level. Essentially what I'm trying to do is create a ftp account for the staff to upload our artwork to as a backup. Like I said, I read what documentation is available in the build and Google searching, but these efforts were unsuccessful. I don't need my hand held but I'm new to this system and any help will be appreciated.

If you need any other information from me to help expedite this process please let me know.

If you have not created any users yet, then you first need to create a user, you can do that on "User Level" - "Add New User".

If you already has created a user, that user already has a FTP account, but if you log into the user account, you can create additional FTP accounts for that user.

By the way, I would advice that you do not use this server to anything before you have upgraded it. You are running a very old version of DirectAdmin, please upgrade first.

Upgrade...

This makes me very nervous, we have 311 merch store, merchwidestores(70 magento stores), and rockthreads(20 magento stores). Any down time is not acceptable and will probably get me fired. So where can I read up on this make sure it wont change values or cause any downtime.

Here is changelogs for all DirectAdmin versions: http://www.directadmin.com/versions.php?action=allversions

Please note it is not just DirectAdmin you need to keep up-to-date, but also php, apache, exim, dovecot etc. etc., reboot in new kernel... I would recommend that you hire someone to do regular upgrades and server management for you.
