Hello...

A user (xxxx) appears correctly under a reseller (yyyy).

When I try to move xxxx to 'admin' using the "Move Users between Resellers" I get the following message:

"User xxxx already belongs to admin. Skipping."

The user xxxx already appears under yyyy users (List Users at yyyy reseller level).

This happened after doing the followig:
a. restore one backup of user xxxx (as admin), containing user files
b. move xxxx to reseller yyyy
c. restore one backup of user xxxx (as admin), containing only databases

How can I fix this inconsistencies?

Thank you.

Did the user belong to the admin reseller already or was it under a different reseller?

By using "backup/restore" as admin I moved the user from an old server to the new one.
The server belonged to admin user.

But in the new server I want this user to belong to a reseller.
That's the reason I did (b) in my first message.

Thank you.

In that case you might choose to use the reseller backup on your old server and restore the user under the new reseller on the new server.
You can also create a user on the new server, backup as user on the old and restore as user on the new server.

Actually I was using the tar.gz named "user.admin.domain.tar.gz".
Isn't this the backup of the reseller 'admin'?

I could not restore "user.admin.domain.tar.gz" on the new server because of errors at once.
I placed "user.admin.domain.tar.gz" in /home/admin/admin_backups

I had to restore this in 2 passes:
a. first "user.admin.domain.tar.gz" had only directories and files.
b. second "user.admin.domain.tar.gz" had databases (after deleting a from /home/admin/admin_backups)

Between (a) and (b) I used "Move Users between Resellers" and assigned the half-restored user to the new reseller.
This is when the problem happened.

(In the old server I had only one reseller - the 'admin' reseller)
