Critical Data Loss: Reseller deletion causes silent cascading removal of users without warning

As said, I don't have those issues with my reseller account. So it is possible with DA otherwise I couldn't either.

Critical Data Loss: Reseller deletion causes silent cascading removal of users without warning

That's what I'm wondering about, as in my first comment I already stated I don't know -any- panel as where a reseller can change his own limits. Which is logically because a reseller is no admin/root so always has the limits it's setup with. And since he comes from CP, also there a reseller can...

Critical Data Loss: Reseller deletion causes silent cascading removal of users without warning

No that is totally not true. It's the same as with cPanel, give me an example of what a reseller can do in cpanel and can not in in DA. Resellers can do as they want with their account. So they can also change DNS records, even their own. And hosting limits are set by the creator in any panel...

Critical Data Loss: Reseller deletion causes silent cascading removal of users without warning

Where do you get that idea from? Every reseller can create their own packages for his customers depending on the total resources he gets from the admin, that is not different then on any other panel. Who creates the reseller is not interesting. So there is no lack of self management. Not...

Which I also already suggested in my last line. But he might not have the correct license for ticket support.

You might try to check these for visibility in the GUI. I know you already done a lot of this, just doublechecking. 1.) check the /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/accountname/user.conf file where you change accountname to the reseller accoutname. In the user.conf of the reseller, check if...

DirectAdmin issues after installing on pre-configured LAMP server - SSH down, databases and sites not working

As long as you have the license key required to install that should be no problem at all.

DirectAdmin issues after installing on pre-configured LAMP server - SSH down, databases and sites not working

It is always advised to install a panel on an empty server so the best way to fix this is to choose an OS for the server and use the option to reinstall the server. After that, install Directadmin again. If you have websites on them which you want to keep, then first make a backup of all...

    DirectSlave Full Installation Guide

I would suggest, also to @ericosman to change this correctly in the script so it's not required anymore to change later on if a new version shows up. So instead of changing the download to directslave-3.5.1-advanced-all.tar.gz it might be a better idea to use this link...

    DirectAdmin 1.690

Good idea. Maybe with seperate firewall installation or choice to install or not, for those using other firewall like CSF or something.

How to use mdbox format instead of maildir format

Did you? I didn't say that did I? I just warned about often AI gives wrong answers. So people have to take care and think about that.

How to use mdbox format instead of maildir format

Well... won't beat you but would strongly advise against it. Reason is that anybody can find an AI answer easy enough themselfs, that is not where forums are for. Just as well you could post Google answers. Most important reason, still often AI gives a wrong answer or partly wrong answer...

    require randomized passwords

I know, as I also told this myself on the forums here multiple times. Point is however you can educate all you want, there will always be people who don't care or don't want to. Next to that, as you wrote, it's not only about the password, it's a lot more, for example protection against malware...

    require randomized passwords

Not for manual passwords hopefully, we need shorter ones an don't need long especially not for databases. They already contain the accountname too which makes them longer also. For minimal password length they can use the da_config_set command.

DirectSlave - solution to add and remove zones on slave without DirectAdmin

Yes. At least for domains with ipv6. Most likely making connections on ipv6 too, not tested yet.

Prevent default domain deletion or change

Thank you. However it would be nice if Directadmin would make things a bit more structural or similar. Now we got several settings which use the "user_can" this or that in singular. Like for example: user_can_select_skin user_can_set_email_limit user_dnssec_control=0 Only the...

SSL Certs for IP Addresses Available Now

Yes in theory. I don't know what ipmi is but as for firmwares... you don't want to release those only for a week right? And mostly devices which need firmware updates are sold by a company which do already have a domain name. :) Hahaha yes I had a good laugh about the Meuk indeed. :D Well... I...

SSL Certs for IP Addresses Available Now

Correct, but costs more money and effort to setup. I'm sure it will be, but what you would use it for? And within a week? Aren't those for 3 months also then?

SSL Certs for IP Addresses Available Now

    - domainless machine to machine communication. What kind of purposes are you thinking of? Because I don't know what provisioning is, but internal api's are internal so why would one need ssl for that? I'm just curious about things which really makes sense so that would be things which connect...
