Figured it out finally for those that run into a future similar issue! API Key option just doesn't work at the moment (prove me wrong please), but if you convert an additional cyber protect console user into strictly a service account, logins will finally work.
Can you please share more details on how to do this?
I'm in contact with Acronis support. They told me to use the connection verification tool (msp_port_checker_tool.exe), which is pointing to the certificate issue, but so far, support is only repeating their mantra about blocked ports
