Dear community,

I've been trying for some time to get daily FTP back-ups working. In order to do so I select to appaned the date to the path, via the dropdown menu in Admin Back-Up/Transfer. Whenever run a back-up like this, I keep getting errors like the one below:

Invalid remote path '/2014-09-26'

All back-ups not appending to the path work without problem. I've checked, and the FTP user has sufficient permissions to read/write and make/delete/list folders. So my question is, do I try to use this "append to path" function for something else than I'm supposed to, or did I miss something?

Kind regards!

I've never used this (I use a rotation system on my backup server), so this is only an educated guess.

I believe that when you add the path you're not necessarily ensuring that the path exists on the remote machine. Perhaps this option is only meant to be used for local backups.

I'm not sure and I hope someone else, who actually uses this, will reply.

But in the meantim, check this thread:
