AwStats plugin for DA [Still in BETA]

fusionictnl: Small RFE...

Is there any chance you could put an option in for the admin to enable across all domains, rather than having to manually enable it per-domain? As it stands, I'm having to manually enable the plugin per-domain as the customers create them.

I know it's not a huge thing, but manually changing it will get overwritten each update.

Sorry for the late reply....

JEP: No updating should work, but best way is to remove, install plugin in the plugin manager.

GITK: The awstatsinstall.php file in the hooks dir can take care of that (run in cron, whatever you like) also theirs another script that just installs it on all domains in the hooks dir.

plugin: Yes it should take care of it, but be sure to run: awstatsinstall.php -f -a to update all current awstats.pl files!

OxnardMontalvo: Current version is: 6.4, but because it wasn't the stable one it shows up as you can see in the first post.

Awstats 6.4 Doesn't correctly fix the problems. The "Awstats's plugin features" enable a lot of exploits as you can read across the web. I completly removed all the functionalities of this. So you probably can't use any plugins with it, but no one probably does ;) So this way the BIG vunarability is fixed. hope awstats will fix it soon ;) So I can just UPGRADE my plugins awstats to theirs without recoding :s

I really don't have the time to read the whole thread, so sorry if this is already asked.

I need to add the following command to the cron:

"/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats_updateall.pl now -awstatsprog=/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats.pl"

That's no problem, but you can also make it to combine it with the tally command by DirectAdmin. But strange enough, I don't have that command _anywhere_ in my crontab. I find that a bit strange, and makes me wondering if there's nothing wrong with my DA installation...

Thanks :).

Jochem

thanks for keeping this updated :) .. i know there is an update when i get a hacker in the system :)

i only read the last couple pages, but i wanted to ask. is there any way to consider preserving the .htaccess files during future upgrades?

i upgraded, and now none of the users have their stats password protected.

i like to encourage password protection as it prevents the url hacks that i've been experiencing.

just some feedback. thanks a lot!

This has been asked a couple of times.. I will keep it in mind in future updates.

These updates were pretty problematic and I pulled out a lot of code from AwStats. And I've been experiencing the hackers too ;) Offcourse not in the new version.

Hello,

I really like this AwStats plugin, but I need to have the stats in another directory (not in public_html/awstats). Is it possible to change this?

Regards,
Marco

You should in that case change the code itself, but I will look in the further release if ther's some construction to create a conf file for it ;)

:D Almost all files in the plugin /user /admin dir ;) And awstatsinstall.php in the hooks or whatever php from that dir you use ;)

I want to have the awstats folder in the same place as the webalizer stats, so the user can only view the stats from DA. I managed to install awstats in that folder and access it from within DA from a customized page which I added to the skin.

The problem is that the awstats.pl file is showing up as a plain text file in my browser instead of a webpage. What can that be?

Update in cron...

How to update statistics in cron only for users who activated AwStats in DA?
