AwStats plugin for DA [Still in BETA]

I have done, I ran the update of the plugin from the control panel twice, the second time just to see if it would update the awstats part as the plugin was already up to date.

If you don't have the update dir in: /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/update

than the plugin wasn't up2date. Remove it and re-install it!

It's just a tarball that's extracted in that dir. I'm sure it wouldn't just skip 1 dir ;)

ah ha
the previous post had mentioned
/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/update/update.sh
not
/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/update/update.sh

its worked now, thanks

I ran into this problem too that it couldn't find awstats.pl with an error in patch.php on line 3.

I had the most up to date DA and it was a first time install. Downloaded the plug in via the link in the first post of this thread.

This line solved it of course
/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/update/update.sh

further.. it's working like a charm now and I satisfied a lot of customers with awstats.

regards,
Richard

Excellent Stuff!!!

I just installed your plugin, and it worked like a charm! This is one more reason why DirectAdmin is the best control panel on the market (IMHO).

2.1.7

* This should resolve most issues with the updating/patching process

In Plugins manage :

Version : 2.1.6
Available Version : 2.1.6

So I try to update even if it's the same version :p

Version : 2.1.7
Available Version : 2.1.6

;-)

I can't install plugin. It downloaded and i'm view it in Plugins but it don't active and don't installed. If i click INSTALL i'm retrieve:

Your connection has timed out

Details

Either your request was invalid or the program hasn't completed your request.
Please notify the server admin

I set connection timeout to 180 seconds. But plugin don't installs.

What to do?

Did anyone have benchmark for awstats?

How long to run 1000 new qualified records?

I ask because my daily cron update take 30min finish to a single domain

I think you should take a look at http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/awstats_benchmark.html and find it out there.

Read it carefully as you may jump into conclusion that it should be done in a few seconds, but if you read it all, you'll understand why.

use the da install?

there is definitely a lot of info an awstats.

I installed awstats from awstats before I knew it was available from DA.

Should I resintall awstats using the instructions for the DA awstats install?

What is the easiest way to do this?

Thanks!

If you used the plugin and updated the files manually, you can just delete the plugin and install it again.

If you haven't installed the plugin, but used awstats manually for the domains, you should backtrace it and remove the files manually.

thanks for the info.
We removed the plug-in and added the new link for your plugin.

We also set up the cron. Hopefully that will help.

Is it normal that the "Update Now" link is available in awstats at the top of the page?
It would seem if the cron is updating everyday, we would not need the link.
any thoughts about that?

Is already been handled before, just check the /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats.none.conf

and change the update....browser=1 to 0 :)

After that run the awstatsinstall.php to force the update of all .conf files ;)

i run awstatsinstall.php but all my domains is not update

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats.none.conf
AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=0

./awstatsinstall.php

check my /etc/awstats.domain.com.conf
AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1

most of my sites are not showing the icons on the page.

Is there a parameter that needs to be set so all sites will be able to show the icons?

thanks!

Please read the awstatsinstall.php comments inside the file how to force+update the awstats for ALL users.

I went through the awstatinstall and found the force and update

I have a few domains that just wont show the icons and it is really buggin me.

Any suggestion where I can go look to try to isolate this problem?

thanks!
