My server has 4 internal hard drives. The first 2 drives are setup in a RAID 1 array, the 3rd drive is a Hot Spare for the RAID array, and the 4th drive is mounted as a separate partition meant for nightly backups. Thoughts on this setup?
I want to setup a nightly cron job to backup /home and MySQL databases to the separate partition.
In DA, I see in the Admin tools where I can setup a cron job to backup user home directories and MySQL databases. I would like to backup these 2 things to the separate partition that I have mounted, however from what I can see on the DA side of things, it only allows me to check the amount of free disk space on the mounted drive. How can I set this up so older backups are removed after 7 days?
Running CentOS 5.7 with the latest version of DA if it matters. Thanks in advance.
