Can I Delete the "admin" user?

I have created another Admin level user, and wonder now is it safe to delete the original admin user?

Hello,

Never tried it myself. Please note you may suspend it so nobody whould ever be able to login as original admin user. Probably somebody else on the forums tried it before and can share their expirience.

Here's a thought:

I can host an openVZ container. If someone has an openVZ container they can send me, with DirectAdmin already installed and set up, I can set it as a template on my host system with my own UID,LID, and can rebuild it any time for anyone who wants to do testing.

Anyone reading this with such a container to send me?

Thanks, that sounds like the best way for me to go. Deleting it may just break something :-(
I am trying to fend off attackers. Changing the root SSH port, and adding CSF ( I must send him a donation) seems to be working great.

I did it a few times without any problem.
but be careful! before you delete admin user, check 1. that you have another admin account. 2. there aren't users/resellers under the admin account.
