changing a domain to a different user

Unfortunately I have made a new domain name under a different user. I want to make a new user for the domain but when I try that directadmin says that the domain already exists.

Now can I delete the domain in the other user and make a new domain but will the data be losts when I do that.

Is it possible that I change the domain to a different user.
