hi!!

I own a dedicated server with DA, I created an account logged in as admin, now i need a personal user to have access to that account, is there a way to change the owner or something that will give acces to the user to his domain?
(something that doesn't involve deleting and recreating!)

Thanks!!

Santi

If you mean you need a personal user to access the admin panel on the dedi;, just click "Create Administrator" in the Server Management section.

If you want to add a user to modify a seperate domain, click "Reseller Level", a package, add a user.

If the domain's DNS and everything is updated, you should be sorted. :)

Santi,

DirectAdmin doesn't by default allow multiple users access to a domain, and anyone you set up as an admin has full control of the server.

You can create a separate ftp user with access to an entire site, but you can't do the same for the control panel.

I recommend you back up the site, delete it, and recreate it under a new user.

Thank you!

Hi guys! Thank for the information! I suspected it but wanted to make sure that no one knows a way that doesnt involve recreating the account!!

Thanks again!

There's always a way. It requires making a lot of changes through the shell. One wrong change and, well you know ;).

This way is faster/safer.
