I am sorry, I am not sure what forum to post this question to ...

We have a dedicated cloud server we pay a hosting company each month for.

I would like to get another server with them as well exactly like the oe we currently have ...

I would like to know if this is possibly (They told me they do not get involved with this and did not know if it was possible):

Can I create an image of our current server ,,, and use this image for the new server ?
- I understand I will need to update the OS licenses and other software licenses (I am not trying to pirate software)
- It is just that it is is set up exactly as we need

From my admin pane, can this be done ?
On a new server with nothing installed, can an image be restored on it with our access rights ?
Does it require the hosting company to do this ?

I know there is software that EaseUS that has imaging software for cloud servers ... is it as simple as this ?

Thank you in dvance

Sadly it not simple same as cloud system.

Next time should install cloud system like proxmox or xcpNG. then if you want to move to other provider, you can export VPS data as VHD, OVF, OVA and import to new server.

#note: this is directadmin forum
If you need help migrate/clone setting of directadmin box into other server, we can advise you.
Other question not relate to directadmin,we can't do anything.

That is not something which Directadmin supports or can be ask here. That's up to your provider which is providing you with the server or VPS if this is possible or not. Probably not.

If you are using Directadmin right now on the cloud server, then it should not be too difficult to backup and restore all accounts.
However, configuring the server/vps might be an issue.

Images are not something which can be done from the admin panel.

With EaseUs, maybe it can be done, all depends on hardware, and server access and if DA is installed at the moment.
Still restoring an image on a new server will have new ip addresses so changes need to be made afterwards anyway.

Edit: Ah I was writing at the same time as Ohm J. But as you can see. probably it's not possible.
