ConfigServer shutting down as of 31st of August 2025

Some is an understatement
Yep, that's why I wrote "good luck with that" in front and with "some free time" I ment some amount of free time, not a bit of free time, so is was more a bit of a .... lol... I forgot the word... well let's say kind of a humoristic statement then, but I ment another word, but having a memory leak again. :)
It's not sarcastic but a nicer form of it when one writes something in understatement while meaning it's bigger.

Edit: Ah found it.. I think I ment "ironic" here.

OMG ipset too indeed... that's a bummer. :(

Looks like site and domain are shutdown now
No only the download subdomain, the main domain is still available c.q. has a page with explanation. Or they reopened it with that page.

How about fail2ban in AlmaLinux 10?

It shall work with firewalld.

Probably all are CLI mode. No GUI for DirectAdmin panel.

Nice, I planning to install Rhel 10 in the future with my own custom CSF logics, If I have the free time.

Ouch. I don't even use DA, I prefer not to have an overarching piece of software to control all my Linux stuff as it's too invasive, and just used CSF to control the iptables stuff because iptables was such a nightmare to configure. This sucks. Any ideas what I can use instead now as I'm not using any kind of control panel?

Why register on a DirectAdmin forum just to complain about a product you don’t even use?
If you had taken the time to read the information already shared here by this so-called “overarching piece of software”, you would have found the answer to your question right away.

Nice to know the community is so nice and welcoming. That really makes me more inclined to use DA.

We're more than welcoming and there's an abundance of shared knowledge and help here. But if your first sentence after joining is "I don't even use DA, I prefer not to have an overarching piece of software to control all my Linux stuff as it's too invasive", you're getting of on the wrong foot here to start.

So.. Welcome 😁!! Have you tried DA?

I really someone picks up the development of CSF, it is quintessential. I'd do it, but my Perl is weak
I hope so as well. CSF Makes light work of iptables and LFD for many. My Perl is virtually non existent! The Syntax makes me want to gouge my eyes out with forks! 🤣 I'm good with Bash, BASIC, PHP, HTML, CSS, Some Javascript and had a go at C++ a few years back, but theres so many languages out there. My nipper programs in LUA, Python and knows a bit of ForTran as well and I know someone who likes Ruby. But I guess if there weren't all these different languages, things would get very boring, very quickly!
